We had a great time during our New Year's stay! The room was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed that provided a great night's sleep. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby eateries and a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and approachable, always willing to help with any queries or requests we had. Plus, the breathtaking views of the nearby mountains added an extra touch of charm to our stay.
Although our stay was fantastic overall, there were a few minor downsides. The entrance hall could use a sprucing up, as the dated carpet gave a slightly underwhelming first impression.

The comfortable beds and great breakfast options were definitely highlights of our stay. The location was also perfect, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and nearby attractions. Plus, the stunning views from our room made our experience even more enjoyable.
One thing that was a bit disappointing was the lack of packed lunch options for walkers. It would have been convenient to have that option available, especially since we were in an area known for its outdoor activities.

We had a fantastic Christmas holiday at this cozy guest house in the Lake District. The views from our room were breathtaking and the breakfast was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the homemade cake that was provided every day. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area and we were within walking distance of several restaurants. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who made our stay very enjoyable.
The only negative aspect of our stay was that there was no free parking onsite, but we were able to use a nearby car park for a small fee. the Wi-Fi was not available in our room, but we were able to access it in the communal areas.

The room at Rysdale Guesthouse was absolutely fantastic! It had all the amenities I needed, like free WiFi and a coffee maker, plus a flat-screen TV for entertainment. The daily housekeeping was a nice touch too. As a traveler who values convenience and comfort, I couldn't have asked for more.
Personally, I didn't quite enjoy the flat-screen TV in the room. But hey, that's just me.

We had a lovely Christmas stay at this guesthouse. the breakfast options were great and the owner made sure we were well taken care of. the location was perfect, with easy access to restaurants and shops. We loved the cosy beds and the stunning views from our window.
That we had to pay cash instead of using our card, which was a bit of a hassle. But overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this guesthouse for a memorable Christmas stay.

The location of this guesthouse is perfect, right in the centre of Ambleside. You can easily walk to all the eateries and there is a bus stop nearby for further exploration. the rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are well-appointed with provided shampoo and body wash. the hosts are welcoming and offer a delicious breakfast, with a full English option, fruit, yogurt, cereals. Guests also appreciate the extra touches like fluffy towels and a tin of biscuits.
The only minor inconvenience is that they prefer cash payment to avoid a surcharge for using a debit card.
